ガチガチに硬直して動かないことの多いGRGの存命人物リストですが、2017年1月以降、かろうじて1か月に1人も認定されなかった月はないんですね（今月は除く）。
世界第2の高齢男性、グスタフ・ゲルネートさんはドイツの歴代最高齢（112歳362日）を超えても認定されないのだろうか・・・。フランシスコさんは113歳超えても認定されなかったので十分あり得るけど。2015年以降、「GRGのリストに男性は1人で固定」という暗黙の了解みたいなものがあるみたいですね。

It's not the case that the GRG is only trying to have one man on WSRL. It has to do with the fact that the current list of oldest living people shows the OLDEST people (112+) and unfortunately most men die before their 112th birthday. In the case of Mr Núñez-Olivera, it proved difficult to validate him. The last pieces of the puzzle were sent in AFTER his death. In the case of Mr Gerneth, he chooses privacy over a title. In other words, the GRG has not received any documentation validating his age yet. Therefore, he is not on the WSRL.

上記の書き込みで、グスタフ・ゲルネートさんは、ドイツの歴代最高齢（112歳362日）を超えても認定されないのではないか、と述べてましたがそれが現実のものとなりました。

Fiskje88さんを含めたGRG関係者に対しての疑問としては、グスタフさんにプライバシー上の問題があって認定出来ないならそもそも日本の匿名の方々なども認定されないはずで、辻褄があわないです。また、ニュース記事には顔写真や詳しい居住地などを含めて何度も掲載されているグスタフ・ゲルネートさんが、なぜGRGのリストにはプライバシーを理由として掲載出来ないのかが説明できません。"Privacy"というようなナンセンスで曖昧な表現は、GRGが言い訳に窮した際に使用する単語としてしばしば観察されます。

The thing is that in the United States, unlike in Japan, the states are not obliged to report their oldest living residents; there is no such tradition present there. In other words, many extremely long-lived individuals may remain invisible to the academic and/or public attention. As if it was not enough, unless there is a public obituary present, the deaths are reported with a statutory delay. All in all, the USA has a larger supercentenarian population than it would seem on the first glimpse. Note the newly emerged case of 114-year old Mrs. Ophelia Burks who may have been the oldest living American following the death of Delphine Gibson.

There are 34 validated supercentenarians on the GRG's WSRL at the moment.

You're correct, the problem results from lack of funding. The GRG is a non-profit organization; it could process more cases; however, only with the financial support the GRG could intensify the case processing as well as the research effort (which is often expensive itself).

The other reason is that cases are being more thoroughfully reviewed with a higher standard applied presently. As a result, the list; albeit shorter, has a near 100% reliability, which is a good improvement.

Don't worry! No collapse is going to happen. Nevertheless, the WSRL needs to fit to the scientific standards. A case without excellent proof on their age, meeting the validation criteria, cannot be included. Various scientific institutions, associations and media base on the WSRL. So, while the data quantity is important, the quality of it is even more.

I noted your idea on a possible way to provide support. I will discuss it with my superiors. Thank you.

Thank you for your polite explanation. So, I will not despair in the future, I will expect.
I know the way to donate the GRG but I'm really sorry for can't donate a money, since I'm still young age and I was born on poor family. But around 5 years later, I'm be rich and will donate a huge amount of money for restore the GRG WRSL (If 5 years later still without male SCs or lists under 50 SCs.) Hope to come great future!.
